I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently reside in Loveland, Ohio. I have been a teacher at Harrison Elementary for the past 18 years. I have a bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University and a master's degree in the art of teaching from Marygrove University.
I am blessed to be working with what I believe to be one of the best teaching teams in Southwest Ohio. During the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, I will be teaching science to all of the 5th graders at Harrison Elementary, as well as written language to my homeroom class.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my seven year old son, Matthew. My favorite leisure activities include: nature walks, traveling, dance aerobics and visiting with family.
My mission as a teacher involves empowering my students with the confidence as well as academic and social skills they need to reach their full potentials. I truly enjoy teaching science to upper elementary students. Their curiosity about various science topics fuels my passion for teaching and helping them grow and learn. I love when former students come back to visit to share their new knowledge and how their elementary experiences in science class have helped shape their own passions and/or career paths.
I am grateful for the opportunity to teach your children and look forward to a successful school year.
